OVERVIEW
Employers will have the opportunity to pre-select 100% of their interview schedule. With pre-selection, an employer is assured of meeting with those students it considers most promising among those students expressing an interest in that particular employer. If there are any open slots in an employers schedule due to scheduling conflicts or student cancellations, then these slots will be filled at random based on student bidding. Interviews will be conducted in private rooms set up in the host law firm office space.
INTERVIEW PROCESS
Once a student registers for the Fair, they will be given information regarding participating employers’ hiring criteria, offices/cities for which each employer is interviewing, and J.D. year(s) required by the employer. Students have the opportunity to submit their resume to 15 employers.
The resumes are then collected by the Job Fair committee. All resumes of students who wish to interview with your firm/organization will be forwarded to your contact person. (Please keep these resumes, as additional copies will not be provided). Employers are asked to pre-select 16 students with whom they wish to interview. With pre-selection, an employer is assured of meeting those students it considers most promising among the students expressing an interest in that particular employer. Employers are also asked to select 10 alternates. Any slots that are not filled will be filled due to schedule conflicts or student cancellations will be filled through the employer alternate selections.
Each schedule allows for 16 interviews. Each interview is 20 minutes in length. Interviews begin at 8:30 a.m. with a morning break from 10:05-10:15 a.m., and an afternoon break from 3:05-3:20 p.m. A sit-down lunch will be provided for all employers and students from 12:00-1:30 p.m. Interviews end at 4:30 p.m. Your schedule will be sent to you approximately one week before the Job Fair. Employers are asked not to replace or remove anyone from your schedule at that time. We will make every attempt to notify you of changes to your schedule prior to the Job Fair.
